Hi there. My mom has been gone for a long time, almost thirty years and my best friend from HS left us during Covid. I just didn't want to leave any woman out who was important to me. So I was hoping you saw your part in this. The part that says, "The rare special women who shine like a star, I love them all dearly, they know who they are." That is about a handful of women here and you are one of them. I hope you knew that.

Are you home now or still in Hawaii? And I hope you recognized your self in the place in my poem where I said there were special women who shine like a star, and you would know who you are. I think you knew. LOL..

Bravo. When I was still very young my two older sisters took it upon themselves with our mom's permission, took it upon themselves to provide me with a basic education. As a result I was actually several grades ahead of my other classmates. Growing up, I watched my mother who divorced my dad when I was five years old, house, feed and care for three children with a third grade education. This woman retired as a supervising housekeeper at a major hotel, later on in life, by and own her own home that is still in the family more than ten years after her death. When I came to Fanstory a dear woman named Brooke Baldwin (adewpearl) adopted me and is responsible for most of my advancement as a writer during the years I have been a member of Fanstory. You dear Debi, have greatly enriched my experience here since we have become friends. There are so many other women who have been influential in my life, my wife, my daughters, many of the great women writers here on the site. I cannot thank them all personally, but please beleive me, I am grateful to all of you for helping to make me the man I am and the man I hope to become.
