Although, I can't include you in this one. LOL, I still hope you see yourself as one of my dear friends I treasure so very much.

This a good one, Debi. I'm glad you included the song. I haven't heard Helen Reddy for years. In your next to last line, I think you should replace the second "you're" with "you are".

Thank you so much Paul. I appreciate your kind words. That line will you look at it again and it might be how we pronounce family because I pronounce it with three syllables. Would you mind looking at it one more time and telling me which you think if that's the problem? Paul, thanks so much.

Oh my gosh. I haven't heard that song in forever! I smiled through the entire thing, knowing that my life was in large part successful because of the women who came before me, walked beside me, and now paved new paths for me. This is a poem that speaks to the love and quiet camaraderie we've learned to recognize and acknowledge. We've finally learned that when one woman succeeds, we are all enhanced! My mom has been gone since 1987, my dearest friend was struck down at 40 by ovarian cancer. I miss them every day and, as you do, I consciously stop to thank God for the amazing women here on FanStory and elsewhere who have lifted my spirit each time I've stumbled!
Your big heart is showing. Thanks for being there, always!

Hey if you have a minute, would you look at the second to last line of the poem. Paul thought one of the parts should say you are instead of saying you're. And yet that seems like too many syllables to me. Unless family is no longer three syllables?? but only if you have the time. I can't see how it could be wrong.

Family does have three syllables. As I read it I think "you're" is appropriate.
